Artist Bio

Heather Fortune, Artist

 

Heather grew up in the mountains of Oregon in a small logging town.

She drew many pictures during her childhood—mostly horses—but felt fine art was an impossible pursuit.

She attended the Art Institute of Seattle and for years worked as an unremarkable graphic designer in a corporate environment.  Years later, the painting begins!

“I have always been fascinated by colors, light and shadow, and people doing the things people do.  I like organic shapes (usually people) combined with structure.
